Cost Per KM Calculation Methodology

Grid Energy per Kilometer

Calculates real energy drawn from the electric grid to travel 1 km:

Grid Wh/km = (Battery Capacity Wh ÷ Range km) ÷ 0.90

Example: (40,500 Wh ÷ 300 km) ÷ 0.90 = 150 Wh/km drawn from wall.

Cost Per Kilometer (₹/km)

Multiplies grid units per km by your domestic electricity tariff:

Cost/km (₹) = (Grid Wh/km ÷ 1000) × Tariff (₹/kWh)

Example: 0.150 kWh × ₹8.00/unit = ₹1.20 per kilometer.
