MiraiVolt ("we", "our", or "us") is an electric vehicle (EV) smart-charging platform developed and operated by Krishridhi Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated in India ("Company", "Krishridhi").
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the MiraiVolt mobile application (available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store), our website at miraivolt.com, and any related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By downloading, installing, registering on, or using the MiraiVolt app or website, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

3. Detailed Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate and improve the MiraiVolt Platform. This includes:
3.1 Account & Registration Information
- First name and last name
- Email address
- Mobile phone number
- Gender (optional, provided voluntarily)
- Password (stored in encrypted/hashed form — never stored in plain text)
- Vehicle type or EV model (optional, set in profile)
- User role (EV Driver or Station Master)
3.2 Location Information (Foreground Only)
- Precise GPS location — collected while the app is in active use, to display nearby EV charging stations on a map, provide turn-by-turn navigation to a selected station, and calculate distance and estimated travel time.
- Location is used only in-app while you are actively using the MiraiVolt app. We do not collect background location data while the app is closed or minimised.
- Location search queries you type (e.g. "Miyapur Metro") are sent to Google Places API and/or OpenStreetMap Nominatim to provide autocomplete suggestions.
3.3 Voice & Audio (Microphone)
- If you use the voice search feature, the app accesses your device microphone to convert your spoken query to text via the device's on-device speech recognition engine (Android SpeechRecognizer / iOS SFSpeechRecognizer).
- Audio is processed locally or by the operating system's built-in speech engine. We do not store, transmit, or retain audio recordings on our servers.
- Microphone access is requested only when you tap the voice search button. You can deny this permission and use manual text search instead.
3.4 Charging Session & Transaction Data
- Charging session ID, station ID, start and end time
- Energy consumed (kWh), session duration
- Cost amount (₹), payment method (MiraiVolt Wallet)
- Session status (e.g. Completed, Pending)
- Connector type used (e.g. CCS2, Type 2 AC)
3.5 Reviews & Ratings
- Star rating (1–5) and written comment submitted for a charging station after a session
- Reviews are linked to your user account and the specific charging session
3.6 Device & Technical Information
- Device operating system and version (Android/iOS), app version
- IP address at time of account creation or API request
- Authentication tokens (JWT access token, refresh token) — stored encrypted on your device using Android EncryptedSharedPreferences or iOS Keychain
- Session onboarding completion flag stored in device shared preferences
3.7 Website Visitor Information
- Browser type, pages visited, and time spent — collected via Google Analytics 4 (when configured)
- IP address, referrer URL, and browser language for site analytics
- Station Master enquiry form data: name, email, phone, business name, city, number of stations, and message

5. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
- Account creation and authentication — to securely create and manage your MiraiVolt account using JWT-based session management.
- Finding nearby charging stations — to display EV charging stations on a map relevant to your current or searched location.
- Navigation — to provide real-time driving directions from your location to a selected charging station using Google Routes API.
- Voice search — to convert your spoken location query to text for station search (processed locally/OS-level only).
- Charging session management — to record and display your past charging sessions, costs, and energy consumption.
- Reviews and feedback — to associate your submitted rating and comment with a specific charging session.
- Profile management — to allow you to view and update your name, vehicle type, gender, and contact information.
- Platform improvement — to analyse usage patterns and fix bugs or performance issues.
- Station onboarding — to process Station Master enquiries submitted via the website contact form.
- Legal compliance — to comply with applicable Indian laws and lawful requests from authorities.
6. App Permissions Explained
The MiraiVolt Android app requests the following permissions. All permissions are used only for stated purposes:

You can revoke any optional permission (e.g. Microphone) from your device's Settings → Apps → MiraiVolt → Permissions at any time. Revoking location permission will disable map and navigation features.
7. Data Storage & Security Practices
- Authentication tokens are stored encrypted on your device using Android EncryptedSharedPreferences (AES-256) or iOS Keychain. Tokens are never stored in plain text.
- Passwords are never stored on device. Your password is transmitted over HTTPS to our backend and stored in hashed form only.
- All API communication uses HTTPS (TLS 1.2+) exclusively. Our API endpoint is
https://api.miraivolt.com. - Cached station data is stored locally on your device for offline access and is refreshed on every successful API call.
- Session restoration: On app launch, we attempt to silently restore your session using a stored JWT. If the token is expired, we attempt a refresh. If refresh fails, you are redirected to the login screen and stored tokens are purged.
- Our backend infrastructure is hosted on secure cloud providers with industry-standard security controls.
- We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as required by applicable law.
8. Your Rights & Account Deletion
As a user of MiraiVolt, you have the following rights:
Right to Access & Correction
Update your profile name, gender, or vehicle model directly inside the app (Settings → Profile).
Right to Account Deletion
Email privacy@miraivolt.com to request complete account and data deletion within 30 business days.
Data Portability
Request an export copy of your past charging sessions and review history in machine-readable JSON format.
Withdraw Consent
Revoke microphone or location permissions at any time via device OS Settings.
9. Children's Privacy
MiraiVolt is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 years. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@miraivolt.com and we will delete the information.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
- Notify you via email (at your registered address) or via an in-app notification for significant changes.
Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of a revised Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
